About JP Patterns

Hi, I’m Joshua.

An artist, designer, and the person behind JP Patterns.

One person. From pattern to presentation.

A small studio,
with a personal hand.

JP Patterns is my independent, one-person surface pattern design studio. I develop the artwork, refine the repeats, build the presentations, and handle each licensing conversation myself.

I earned my BA in Interactive Design at SUNY Oswego in 2025 and am continuing my studies there in human–computer interaction. My background brings together art, design, photography, 3D, and motion.

I develop and refine my patterns as editable vector artwork in Illustrator and other vector software. That means I can adjust colors and sizes to suit a project, rather than being limited to a single finished image.

Alongside pattern design, I build creative tools and explore new ways to present the work. If you have a particular palette, scale, or application in mind, I’d be glad to hear about it.
